CURSORY : The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) is ranked ninth among the best valued universities for international students


The emirate institution ranked ninth out of 149 universities in Nigeria according to the University Database.
The development was revealed in an email that the Study Abroad Aide addressed to Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, the university registrar.
Out of 149 universities in Nigeria, the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has been named as the ninth Best Value University for International Students.
The Tribune said that this was determined by a recent list released by Study Abroad Aide, a preeminent website for the mobility of foreign students.
A global database of higher education institutions was revealed in an email to Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, the registrar of UNILORIN.
The head of the university database, Roxanne Naguinlin, spoke about the effect and exceptional accomplishments of the University. In 2022, Unilorin had over 1.6 million visitors
Alfanla characterized the growth as an additional evidence of UNILORIN’s dedication to academic excellence and stated that the school has once again attained remarkable international reputation due to its distinctive value proposition for international students.
Additionally, the university was placed in the top 21% of Best Value Universities worldwide, which includes 8,060 establishments in 69 nations.

A portion of the email says, ” Last November 11, 2023, we published our annual Best Value Rankings for International Students.
The Best Value University rankings are our second-ranking category after the Best University rankings. It focuses on the combined factors of affordability, and academic reputation. The rankings assess 8,060 private and public higher educational institutions in 69 countries.”
Located in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara state, UNILORIN is one of Nigeria’s federal institutions.
