UNIMAID Warns Against Fraudulent Admission Payment Scams

UNIMAID Disclaimer Notice on Fraudulent Admission Payment Messages Targeting Admission Seekers.

The attention of the Management of University of Maiduguri has been drawn to a fraudulent message currently in circulation, requesting unsuspecting members of the public to make payments for admission into the University.

The said message, which directed payment of a so-called “N15,000 catchment fee” through the website payunimmaid.com, and purportedly emanating from the College of Medical Science Admission Committee, is FAKE. The University of Maiduguri has no affiliation with this site or its operators. The Management categorically dissociates itself from such fraudulent claims. Members of the public are hereby advised that:

• The University does not request applicants to make any admission-related payments to private or unverified accounts/websites.
• All official information regarding admission is communicated solely through the University’s official website and recognized channels.
• Anyone who chooses to transact with these impostors does so entirely at their own risk.

The Management of University of Maiduguri will not be held responsible for any loss arising from such fraudulent dealings. Thank you.
