According to a document obtained by SaharaReporters on Wednesday, Ondo State Medical University (UNIMED) students will start paying tuition fees of up to 2 million in the next academic year.


UNIMED was established in 2015 and is a professional medical university.
SaharaReporters reported that school fees have increased ahead of the new updated academic calendar which will start on Sunday, November 7, 2021.
The highest fee on the list will be paid by students of the Faculty of Medicine, non-indigenous students in years 1 – 3 will pay N2,245,000 while Indigenous students will pay N1,320,000.
Those in the clinical year of 4-6 years old will pay N2,495,000 for non-native genes, while their native classmates will pay N1,895,000.
At the faculty of Dentistry, non-indigenes will also pay N2,245,000 in the pre-clinical year, while their local counterparts will pay N1,320,000.
At the same time, clinical students will pay N2,495,000 for non-native genes, while their native students will pay N1,895,000. Non-native genes and local genes in Nursing Science, Medical Rehabilitation (I) and Applied Health Science (I) will pay N1,200,000 and N900,000, respectively.
For medical rehabilitation (II) and applied health sciences (II) students, non-indigenous and indigenous students will pay N750,000 and N500,000, respectively
For students of Basic Medical Sciences, School of Public Health and Science (I) and (II), the tuition fee for non-native genes is N400,000, while native genes will pay N350,000.
The lowest tuition fee is the Faculty of Science (III), where non-indigenous people will pay N240,000 and indigenous people will pay N180,000.
