This page is for the general public especially all prospective and newly admitted students of Delta State University (DELSU) Abraka, who want to know the school’s acceptance fee and clearance documents.

LATEST UPDATE: DELSU Deadline For Acceptance fee payment has been announced

The Management of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has issued an official bulletin reminding all newly admitted students to pay their acceptance fees on or before Monday, October 27, 2025.

According to the notice dated Thursday, October 23, 2025, the directive applies to candidates offered admission in the first, second, and third batches into various programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. The university emphasized that failure to pay within the stipulated period may result in the loss of admission and replacement with other candidates.

The bulletin also included a reminder of the approved resumption dates:

Sunday, November 2, 2025 – Fresh students resume on campus.

Sunday, November 16, 2025 – Old students return to campus.

All newly admitted students are therefore advised to complete their acceptance fee payments promptly to secure their admission and ensure a smooth start to the new academic session.

All candidates who applied for admission through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and were successful and offered Provisional Admission to 100 level (UTME) courses at the Delta State University, Abraka for the 2025/2026 academic session are each required to make immediate payment of a non-refundable acceptance fee as indicated below and tender the evidence at the point of screening in the relevant Faculties.

Medicine & Surgery, Law and Nursing Science

  • Deltan – N65,000
  • Non Deltan – N75,000

Pharmacy and Engineering

  • Deltan – N60,000
  • Non Deltan – N70,000

Other Faculties/Department

  • Deltan – N50,000
  • Non Deltan – N60,000

DELSU registration / Clearance Documents

Acceptance of Admission in CAPS:
A Provisionally admitted candidate has to visit JAMB CAPS Site and accept his or her offer of admission. The candidates have a maximum of four weeks from the date of the provisional admission to do this. Failure would leave JAMB with the choice of placing their names under “refusal to accept admission” and this is punishable by ineligibility to be admitted again by JAMB.

Faculty Screening:
Candidates are advised to take the following items/documents with them to their Faculties for the Screening Exercise which starts immediately and would last for 4 (four) weeks.

  1. Evidence of payment of Acceptance fees
  2. Original JAMB Admission Letter
  3. Original UTME result printout not JAMB notification of result
  4. SSCE/GCE/NECO, etc. Statement of Result (Original and five photocopies) SSCE result duly Certified and stamped by the Principal (Original and five photocopies).
  5. Letter of reference from a reputable Clergyman/Imam/ Lawyer/Senior Civil Servants (Original and five photocopies)
  6. Birth Certificate/Sworn Declaration of Age (Original and five photocopies).
  7. Local Government of Origin or State of Origin Certificate not affidavit of Local Government
  8. School testimonial (Original and five photocopies).
  9. Passport photographs with red background (12 copies) with one passport on the file and two passports on only the clearance form.
  10. All candidates who obtained their entry qualifications, i.e. WASC, GCE, NECO, etc, on or before 2025 (WAEC) must tender the original of their certificates.
  11. The use of affidavit in lieu of Statement of result and correction of names will not be accepted.
  12. University Health Centre Medical Card.

NOTE: Any candidate who fails to show up for the Screening Exercise within the stipulated period (4 WEEKS) would be deemed to have rejected the offer. Consequently, the offer elapses

Explanation on DELSU Clearance Documents

  • a.Evidence of payment of Acceptance fees….(you are to generate a virtual pin they pay it into the bank, please do this when you already in school to avoid mistakes cos Cafe’s around the school are more experienced at it than the ones at home)
  • Original JAMB Admission Letter (once you seeing admitted on caps just go to a cafe and print it out)
  • Original UTME result (printout not notification of result cos already getting sms asking if they can use it you can’t oo go to Cafe to go and print it out 2 it will display your 1st choice of institution there also
  • SSCE/GCE/NECO, etc. Statement of Result (Original and five photocopies) SSCE result duly Certified and stamped by the Principal (Original and five photocopies).(this just means waec,neco or gce original result the principal and school stamp is always on it)
  • Letter of reference from a reputable Clergyman/Imam/ Lawyer/Senior Civil Servants (Original and five photocopies): This where some people will be screened out because some will just give there pastor paper to write letter and sign but that’s not all you will have to put the church stamp on it also but relax to avoid all that stress you can do that in cafe around the school)
  • Birth Certificate/Sworn Declaration of Age (Original and five photocopies).
  • Local Government of Origin or State of Origin Certificate (not affidavit of Local Government)
  • School testimonial (Original and five photocopies).(not waec original result ooo)
  • Passport photographs with red background (12 copies) with one passport on the file and two passports on only the clearance form.(carry like 20 copies ooo you will need it 4 other things
  • All candidates who obtained their entry qualifications, i.e. WASC, GCE, NECO, etc, on or before 2016 (WAEC) must tender the original of their certificates.
  • The use of affidavit in lieu of Statement of result and correction of names will not be accepted.
  • University Health Centre Medical Card(this will be given to you as soon as you through with medical).
