Katsina State Special Foreign Undergraduate Scholarship Programme 2023 is Open.


Katsina State Governor, His Excellency, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, Phd, has given approval to the State Coordination Committee on Special Foreign Scholarship Program to commence the process of selecting the candidates to be sponsored by the State Government to study some professional courses in selected Foreign Universities. All qualified indigenes of the State wishing to study the professional courses in Foreign Universities are requested to apply for the following courses: Medicine [MBBS]; Artificial Intelligence; and Bio Economy.
Admission Requirements: Candidates must possess Senior School Certificate WAEC/ NECO with at least eight (8) credits in one sitting, which should include Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, Mathematics, English Language and Computer Study where applicable. Candidates wishing to apply for MBBS must have at least 3 distinctions [A or B] in any of the relevant subjects, whereas those applying for the two other courses must have 2 distinctions [A or B] in any of the relevant subjects. Candidates must not be less than 16 years of age and not more than 22 years at the time of the application. Interested applicants are to note that only candidates who attended public schools [i.e. Government owned] are eligible for the scholarship and each Local Government Area in the State will be equitably considered in the selection process.
All applications should be accompanied with copies of credentials, birth certificate, indigene letter and endorsement by Local Government Chairman. The application should be addressed to the Chairman, Coordination Committee, Katsina State Special Foreign Scholarship Programme and submitted on or before Wednesday 11th October, 2023 to the nearest Zonal Education Offices at the 7 old Local Governments of Funtua, Malumfashi, Dutsinma, Kankia, Katsina, Mani, and Daura or the Secretariat of the Committee at office of the Head of Civil Service of the State, State Secretariat Complex.
The list of successful Candidates shortlisted for selection Examination, date and venue for the conduct of the examination would be pasted at the respective Local Governments of origins of the applicants on Sunday 15th October, 2023.
