Kano State Polytechnic Set to Mount Additional ND, Postgraduate Programmes & others.


In its quest to follow the global trend of technological advancements and to meet the demands of society, the Kano State Polytechnic Academic Board (PAB) has approved the introduction of the National Diploma in Railway Engineering Technology and the National Diploma in Petroleum and Gas Pipeline Engineering.
The approval was made at the 97th meeting of the Board held on Thursday 25th January, 2024 at Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) Hall, School of Management Studies.
Speaking while presenting a memo on the need to mount the programs, the board chairman, the Rector Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, FCA highlighted the significance of the programs in providing additional employment opportunities among teaming youths in the state and beyond, adding that the institution has all the required manpower and resources and with such developments, KSP will compete favorably among its counterparts across the world.
The Board has also approved the following:
1- That all applicants to KSP programs in the 2023/2024 session must be admitted
2- Thant students who withdraw voluntarily and or on academic grounds will be re-evaluated and certified in line with global best practice; 5 sessions back only.
3- That Continuing Education Center (CEC) should henceforth be referred to and addressed as Continuing Education and Postgraduate School (CEPS).
4- Postgraduate Programs are to be mounted in several programs under the CEPS.
