A remarkable young girl from Florida, Rikki Blaylock, has never missed a day of school during her 13 years at Ridgeview High School in Orange Park, USA. Her unwavering dedication and commitment to her education have earned her special recognition.
Rikki, a recent graduate of Ridgeview High School, maintained perfect attendance from kindergarten through her senior year. Her extraordinary achievement was celebrated at a school board meeting and shared on Ridgeview High School’s Facebook page.
“Congratulations to Class of 2024 Rikki Blaylock for her recognition at last night’s School Board meeting. Rikki was awarded Perfect Attendance from kindergarten to her senior year; truly a phenomenal feat,” read the post.
The board members praised her dedication, calling it both inspiring and exceptional. Superintendent David Broskie presented Rikki with a certificate for “Outstanding Attendance” at the board meeting.
Beyond her academic dedication, Rikki was an active athlete, participating in track and field, cross country, and soccer. According to the Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) website, she also played volleyball and held a notable track and field portfolio, including a 100m time of 15.64 seconds, a 400m time of 1:14.17, and a 5K cross country time of 28:15.9. Ridgeview High School’s athletic department noted that she holds the school record for the javelin throw and was named Athlete of the Week for the same sport.
Rikki also contributed to the school’s athletic programs by photographing various sporting events.
Ridgeview Panthers Athletics honored her on Facebook, writing, “Congratulations to our student-athlete, Rikki Blaylock, for being awarded perfect attendance from K-12 at last night’s school board meeting! Your dedication and commitment are truly inspiring.”
