Federal College of Education, Zaria, has achieved a significant milestone by winning the prestigious N50 million prize and being named the “Best College of Education in the JAMB Mega Award (Incorporating all Five Segments) at the 4th Edition of the Awards”.


The event took place during the 2024 JAMB Policy Meeting, Body of Benchers, held at the JAMB Headquarters in Abuja, where the prizes were presented by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Olanrewaju Oloyode, CON, FNAL, today 18th July, 2024.
The awards highlight the outstanding performance of Federal College of Education, Zaria, across all segments evaluated, underscoring its excellence in education and administration. The accolades were received by the Acting Registrar, Mal. Shehu Iya Sa’idu, and the Academic Secretary, Mal. Muhammad Ibrahim, on behalf of the College.
This achievement marks the second consecutive JAMB award for the institution under the leadership of its current Provost, Dr. Suleiman Balarabe. In 2023, the College was honored with the “JAMB Award of Silver” for being the “Second Best Nigerian College of Education for the Provision of Access to Higher Education to Persons with Special Needs.”
These awards not only recognize Federal College of Education, Zaria’s dedication to inclusive education, but also affirm its commitment to effective management and academic excellence. They serve as a testament to the hard work and perseverance of the College’s administration and staff in shaping the future of education in Nigeria.
