University of Ilorin, UNILORIN begins disbursement of students’ loan to beneficiaries account

This is to inform the University Community, especially students who applied for loans under the Federal NELFUND Scheme for the 2022/2023 academic session, that the University has received payment of the sum of N52,897,890 (Fifty-Two Millon, Eight Hundred and Ninety-seven Thousand, Eight Hundred and Ninety Naira) only from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for disbursement to the successful applicants. 

It should be noted that the beneficiaries had already paid their school fees for the 2022/2023 Academic Session before the University received payment from NELFUND. Hence, it should not be construed by students that subsequent disbursements would be made directly to them. Therefore, the loans cover the beneficiaries’ school fees. 

In view of the above development, the Dean Student Affairs Unit is by this memo enjoined to collaborate with the University Bursar to ensure the prompt disbursement of the loans to the respective beneficiaries.
