NWUS Announces Dates for Resumption of Fresh and Returning Students.

The Senate of Northwest University Sokoto (NWUS) has announced the official dates for the resumption and registration of both newly admitted and returning students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The decision was reached during an emergency Senate meeting held on Monday, November 3, 2025, and chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Mukhtar Umar Bunza, at the university’s main campus.

According to the Senate’s resolution, registration for newly admitted students will commence on Monday, November 17, 2025, and end on Monday, December 1, 2025. Returning students are expected to begin their registration on Monday, December 1, 2025, and complete it by Monday, December 15, 2025.

Professor Bunza emphasized that the university remains committed to maintaining an academic calendar that ensures the timely commencement and completion of all academic activities. He urged students to adhere strictly to the approved schedule, warning that late registration would not be tolerated.

The Vice Chancellor also reiterated the university’s readiness to provide a conducive environment for learning and research, adding that preparations were already underway to welcome students back to campus.

He commended the staff and management of the university for their dedication to academic excellence and discipline, assuring that the institution will continue to build on its vision of producing well-rounded graduates who can contribute meaningfully to national development.

Prof. Bunza appreciated Senator Wamakko for his unwavering support in seeing the Unuversity achieves these heights within a short time.
