Al-Ansar University Secures Full NUC Approval for 15 Degree Programmes

It is with profound joy and immense pride that we wish to publicize our institution’s attainment of full accreditation status for fifteen (15) of our Bachelor’s Degree programmes, following the rigorous accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in November/December 2024. This outstanding result is a resounding affirmation of the quality, vision, and commitment that define our great University.

Al-Ansar University Maiduguri, the First Private University in the ancient Kanem-Borno Empire, stands today as a beacon of knowledge and hope in Northeast Nigeria. Established through the visionary leadership and unwavering dedication of an illustrious son of Borno, Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa, mni, our institution was founded with a mission to expand the frontiers of learning, innovation, and ethical development. In pursuit of this goal, we have created a serene, student-friendly environment equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, modern laboratories, digital libraries, and a team of highly qualified academic and administrative staff.

This average high rating of 92.65% of our programmes by the NUC is not only a validation of our academic strength but also a national recognition of our role in providing quality and accessible tertiary education to the teeming youth of this country.

In addition, our Computing Programmes have secured FULL Accreditation by the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria during a similar visit to the University. The University was visited by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria and the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria. We are expecting a similar visit by the Council for Legal Education and the Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria.
