Computer Science has ranked first in the list of courses Nigerian students studying in the universities for the past three years.
This was revealed according to a post by Statisense on its X social media platform as Microbiology and Accountancy/Accounting appeared second and third on the list.
Statisense, a leading data company transitioning into using AI to simplify data and documents for businesses, consumers and governments, quoted the Federal Ministry of Education.

In 2022, the number of students admitted to study Computer Science were 23,732; Microbiology accounted for 16,440 students while 14,303 students went for Accountancy/Accounting.
Revealing top three states for the admission of these courses, Imo, Delta and Anambra had highest number of students applying for Computer Science.
Benue, Imo and Ondo had the highest number of students admitted into the universities for Microbiology, while Oyo, Ogun and Imo recorded the highest number of students for the Accountancy/Accounting.
