Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the one-year intensive Pre-Degree Programme of Ebonyi State University for the 2022/2023 Session. 

Our mission in Pre-Degree School is to provide high quality, affordable and accessible educational programmes that will enable our students gain access to all University Programmes.

SCOPE AND BENEFITS OF THE SCHOOL PROGRAMME

The Pre-Degree School (PDS) prepares candidates, through intensive lectures and tutorials, for the following examinations:

• Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Examination (JAMB/UTME).
• EBSU Pre-Degree internal examination qualifies successful candidates (with national minimum UTME score) for consideration for admission into any EBSU main degree programmes.

Benefits of EBSU Pre-Degree Programme

Candidates are adequately prepared for JAMB/UTME for admission into any Nigerian University of their choice, including Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.

• The Programme also serves as a remedial programme for candidates preparing for O’Level examinations. The programme is not however a substitute for O’Level requirements for main course University admissions.
• Successful Pre-Degree candidates benefit specially from the JAMB/UTME admission quota reserved for Pre-Degree candidates, provided they obtain the minimum JAMB/UTME score, and also make Ebonyi State University their first choice University
• The programme also gives intensive training to students in basic Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to keep them abreast with modern technological developments.

OTHER ADMISSIONS BENEFITS
Successful Pre-Degree candidates are meant to benefit specially from the JAMB admission quota reserved for prelim candidates. Please note that successful candidates from the Pre Degree Programme are expected to also obtain the minimum UTME score through JAMB/UTME and have to make Ebonyi State University their first choice university in JAMB to qualify for admission consideration.

COURSES EBSU PRE-DEGREE GRADUATES CAN STUDY
Successful Pre-Degree candidates shall be eligible for admission into all the currently available programmes of Ebonyi State University, which include the following:

EBSU PRE-DEGREE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. To be eligible for admission, a candidate must, have five (5) credits in GCE O’Level, NECO or SSCE at not more than two sittings. OR
2. Must have attempted SSCE, NECO, O’level examination. The aim is to prepare candidates for such examinations. Please note that candidates ability to secure admission into EBSU main pre-degree programme after the pre-degree is on the condition that they meet minimum O’level requirments.

DURATION OF PROGRAMME

The Programme is designed for one academic session.

How To Apply For EBSU Pre-Degree Form

Interested candidates are to gain the form at the cost of four thousand five hundred naira (N5,050) non refundable fee. Follow the steps below to purchase the form 

• Visit EBSU Official Website via:www.ebsu.edu.ng or portal.ebsu.edu.ng
• Click on Admission
• Select Online Application
• Select Pre-Degree School Application Form
• Enter your phone number
• From the displayed page, select “Proceed” to generate payment invoice.
• Fill the form then click on submit.
• Print out the the invoice and proceed to any commercial bank to make payment. 
• Re-visit the website (www.ebsu.edu.ng or portal.ebsu.edu.ng), log in, fill the form and submit, attaching your most recent passport
• Print out acknowledgement slip after submission.
• Then await further instructions from the EBSU Pre-Degree School

Sale of admission forms starts immediately and ends on 30th November 2022, while lecturers will commence on 5th December 2022.
