The Edo State College of Nursing Sciences has received backlash for allegedly discriminating against a disabled student, Umoru Precious.

According to reports, the student who has a bent posture was offered admission to the school after undergoing an initial physical screening/interview. She then proceeded to pay the sum of N335,000 (on installment) in school fees but was denied entry into the school upon resumption.
Precious, in a chat with Sahara reporters called on the Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki and human rights organizations to come to her aid. She said;
“Please, I need the public to join me in speaking out; I got admission into Edo State College of Nursing Sciences, I started lectures on a Monday, and by Wednesday they told me to leave the school that I’m not flexible enough, that they don’t want someone like me, all because I have a bent posture. I have a right to education and Edo State College of Nursing Sciences is taking it away from me,” she said.
