Exceptional 12-year-old Girl Scores 100% in National Maths Examination, Wins ₦2million Cash Prize

Exceptional 12-year-old Nadia Adeola Akin-Tijani earns national acclaim after scoring a perfect 100% at the African Mathematics Olympiad, winning ₦2 million, a Gold Medal, and emerging as one of Nigeria’s brightest young maths talents.

Nadia Adeola Akin-Tijani, a 12-year-old Nigerian girl, achieved nationwide recognition after scoring 100% in a national mathematics competition. Her brilliant performance earned her a ₦2 million cash prize and made her one of the country’s brightest young mathematics talents.

Nadia, a student of Barrakah College, Ibadan, competed against top students nationwide in the African Mathematics Olympiad. She achieved a flawless 100% score, earning a Gold Medal and national recognition.

Her success wasn’t by chance. Nadia’s father prioritized education, especially mathematics, training and encouraging his daughters. Her elder sister, Nurahday, also scored 100% in the Junior Secondary category, breaking a 5-year record.

Nadia’s interests go beyond numbers. She proposed a “Corruption Detector” device to identify criminal activities and reduce corruption. Her idea reflects intelligence and a desire to solve social problems.

The National Mathematics Festival celebrated Nadia as a proud ambassador of mathematical excellence. Such achievements inspire others; Ugwoezuonu Ogechi Zara scored 100% in a similar competition, winning a ₦21 million scholarship.
