In a renewed effort to strengthen campus security, the Federal University Kashere (FUK) has announced a strict policy requiring all students to present their Student ID Cards at the entrance gates before being allowed into the university premises.

This directive, issued earlier today, comes in response to growing concerns about unauthorized access and rising insecurity around the campus. According to the notice, security personnel at all gates, particularly Gate 3, have begun enforcing the rule rigorously, with students without ID cards being turned back.
“For new students who are yet to receive their official ID cards, they are advised to come along with their BioData forms or any valid school document proving their identity,” the notice added.
Multiple eyewitness reports confirm the enforcement. “I was stopped at Gate 2 this morning and asked to show my ID,” said one student, while another added, “It’s true, they’re serious now. Some people were sent home earlier today.”
Some students have also praised the initiative. “I really commend the effort of the school management. This move shows that Kashere is developing, and it will go a long way in tackling insecurity,” said Aliyu Haidar Baba Ali, a concerned student.
In a word of caution, students are strongly urged to always carry their ID cards or valid documentation to avoid embarrassment or being denied entry.
The university community is reminded that security is a shared responsibility, and compliance with these measures is essential for a safer academic environment.
