FULAFIA VC Appoints new Dean, Directors, Deputy Directors

Federal University, Lafia (FULAFIA) Vice-Chancellor Appointed New Dean, Directors and Deputy Directors.

The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has approved the appointments of deans, directors and deputy directors. The appointments were announced through a letter that emanated from the office of the vice-chancellor, dated May 19, 2023.

Those appointed officials are

• Professor Blaise Gbaden Gundu, as the Dean, Faculty of Environmental Design, with Dr. Ibrahim Ogiri, as Deputy Dean.
• Professor Ilemona Adofu, formerly the director of the entrepreneurial development, is now the Director, Academic Planning.
• Professor Halima Amali is now the Director, Centre for Gender and Development Studies with Dr. Aisha Bello as her deputy. 
• Professor Zara Kwaghe is the Director, Centre for Cultural Studies with Dr. Alhassan Abdulkareem as her deputy. 
• Professor Adam Sirajudeen is the Director, Research and Creative Thought and Dr. Abdullahi Usman is the deputy director.
• Professor David Ugal becomes the Director, Centre for Entrepreneurial Development Studies.
• Dr. Tijjani Ahmed Ajayi, Deputy Director, Centre for Security Studies and Dr. Fatima Ademode, Deputy Director, Centre for Energy Studies. 

All the deans and directors appointed are to serve for a period of two years, while deputy deans and deputy directors are to serve for a period of one year 

All appointments take effect from June 7, 2023
