Federal University of Technology Minna, FUTMINNA announces 35th Convocation Ceremony.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, on behalf of Council, Senate, Staff and Students of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, cordially invites the public to the University’s 34th Convocation Ceremony of 2024/2025 Academic Session and 43rd Founders’ Day for the conferment of various categories of Degrees, Diplomas and award of prizes.

- Convocation Church Service

Monday, 26th January, 2026
- Vice-Chancellor’s Press Briefing
Venue: APC Building, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Thursday, 29th January, 2026
- Final Football Match
Venue: Football Field, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano
Time: 4:00 p.m.
Friday, 30th January, 2026
- Exhibition
Venue: Suleimanu Kumo Convocation Square, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano
Time: 10:00 a.m. - Commissioning of Projects

Saturday, 31st January, 2026
- Convocation Lecture
Venue: University Auditorium, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano

Sunday, 1st February, 2026
- Convocation Ceremony and Founders’ Day
Conferment of Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, Higher Degrees and Presentation of Prizes
Venue: Suleimanu Kumo Convocation Square, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano
Time: 10:00 a.m.
INFORMATION TO GRADUANDS
- All payments are to be made into the Federal University of Technology, Minna TSA Account (No. 0190472161017) with the Central Bank of Nigeria. For details visit: www.futminna.edu.ng
- Graduands must be physically present at the ceremony to receive their certificates and prizes.
- Graduands are expected to present the following items to collect their original certificates immediately after the Convocation Ceremony:
- The original statement of results earlier issued by the University (where applicable)
- Final year clearance form duly signed by all concerned
- Final year identity card or letter of identification from Student Affairs Division
- Invitation cards and Academic gowns are to be collected from Secretaries of the respective Schools from Monday, 26th January, 2026.
- Issued Academic Gowns must be returned to the School Secretaries immediately after the ceremony before collection of original certificates.
- There will be a surcharge for any damaged Academic Gown.
SECURITY
Graduands and the general public should please note:
- University Security personnel will direct guests to the designated parking lots.
- Luggage and bags are not allowed into the Convocation Square Arena.
- Photographers, hawkers and vendors of any item are to pay the sum of N500.00 (five hundred Naira) only for registration. They will not be allowed into the Convocation Square.
NOTE: Graduands will not be allowed into the Convocation Square after 10:30 a.m.
