Gombe State University (GSU), located at P.M.B 127, Tudun Wada Gombe, has officially opened applications for its Part-Time Degree programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. Operating under the motto “Primus Inter Pares”, the university is offering flexible, high-quality degree options tailored for working professionals and individuals seeking to advance their education without disrupting their careers.
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the under listed Undergraduate Degree Programs approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC):

PREAMBLE
Philosophy of the Part-time Degree Programs:
- The GSU Part-Time Degree Programme: is a Five (5) and Six (6) years intensive training for Direct entry (Level 200) and (Level 100) respectively aimed at providing rigorous teaching for high level professionals and future leaders in the field of academics, managers, policy-makers and researchers through exposures to broad and complex fields of theories and practices in various fields of human learning as well as enhancing abilities to use research to analyze and evaluate current structures and future reforms of Nigeria. Successful completion of the program would lead to award of B.Sc., B.A. and B.A. (Ed) Degree.
- Screening Fee: The Screening fee is Five Thousand Naira (N5,000) only
- Operational set up of the Programs: Lectures/Contacts shall be on Weekend basis i.e. Fridays (evening) and Saturdays (7:00AM-6:00PM) throughout the semester.

THE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates for admission into six-years (Level 100) should possess five (5) relevant Credits in Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) which must include English Language and Mathematics:
- Candidates for admission into five-years (Level 200) should possess in addition to five (5) relevant Credits in Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) which must include English Language and Mathematics; the following: i. At least two (2) GCE A level/IJMB Subjects with passes, ii. Diploma Certificate that is relevant to the course he/she applied for from a recognized institution; iii. National Certificate in Education from a recognized institution.

* Nature of Programme: Lectures are strictly held on Fridays and Saturdays only, allowing students to work during the week.
* Duration: Five (5) years for 100 level entry students, and Four (4) years for Direct Entry (DE) students.
* Key Benefits: No JAMB score or UTME is required for admission, the program is affordable and flexible, it runs on an uninterrupted academic calendar, and graduates earn the exact same degree certificate as mainstream campus students.
