Jubilation as FG finalizes plans for payment of N75k to Students in Education Departments

Students currently studying educational courses in Nigerian Universities are currently in a happy mood as the Federal Government announced that they have finalized plans to start paying them the promised N75,000.

The Federal Government of Nigeria had in October 2021 promised to pay students in Education departments, N75,000 each as a stipend per semester.

According to a report by The Punch, the Federal Government has finalized the plans to pay the promised stipend and will unveil the plans this January.

The Registrar, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN, Prof Josiah Ajiboye, disclosed this in a telephone interview with Punch’s correspondent.

“The ministers involved have prepared the letters and they are working alongside with TETFund. All the necessary things have been done; the details will be unveiled in January,” Ajiboye stated.
