Lagos State University, LASU Notice on the Implementation of Virtual Lectures For Large Classes.

The Management of Lagos State University has directed that, with immediate effect, all courses with student enrolment exceeding four hundred (400) shall henceforth be conducted virtually. This decision has become necessary in view of the current constraints posed by limited physical lecture room capacities and is in line with the University’s digitalisation drive, which seeks to leverage technology for more efficient teaching and learning delivery.
All lecturers handling such large-capacity courses are therefore required to make adequate arrangements for the seamless conduct of their lectures, tutorials and assessments using the University’s approved virtual learning platforms. Students affected by this directive are equally expected to comply fully, ensuring active participation and adherence to all guidelines governing online learning engagements.
Deans of Faculties and Schools are also to ensure strict enforcement of this directive and provide the necessary coordination and supervision to guarantee its smooth and effective implementation.
Management appreciates the cooperation and understanding of all staff and students as the University continues to adopt innovative approaches that promote academic excellence, inclusiveness and global competitiveness in line with the vision of positioning Lagos State University as a leading institution of higher learning in West Africa.
