Nigerian Engineering Graduate Earns First-Class Degree, Gains Admission to U.S. University

Adewale Ejalonibu, a top graduate in Mechanical Engineering from FUTA with a 4.69 CGPA, secured a fully funded Master’s admission at Auburn University in the U.S. after gaining two years of research experience and support from key scholarship networks.

Adewale Ejalonibu, a brilliant Nigerian scholar, has achieved a major milestone by graduating with First-Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).

With an impressive CGPA of 4.69/5.00, he ranked among the top students in his department, completing his degree in 2023.

Driven by the desire to further his education abroad, Adewale spent two years as a research assistant at FUTA, where he honed his skills in practical engineering and built a strong research portfolio.

His efforts paid off when he earned admission to Auburn University, Alabama, to pursue a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

At Auburn, he will work under Dr. Brendon Allen in the Care Lab, and serve as both a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) and Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) in the Dynamics Lab.

Reflecting on his journey on LinkedIn, Adewale credited his success to resilience, mentorship, and strategic planning. He acknowledged support from:
