Chiwetalu Charity, a 300-level student at Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT), shared her painful experience of how she eventually became disabled, She said she was not born that way.


In an interview with BBC Pidgin, she lamented that men were ashamed to take her out because of her physical condition.
The student of accounting undergraduate explained that men would rather her stay inside.
Charity recalled a special conversation with a man who revealed that walking with her in public seemed to be walking with a child.
According to her, when she was very young, she discovered that there was no blood flow in the veins of her legs, which caused her legs to rot.
She was taken to different hospitals to find solutions until it was recommended to amputate her leg to save her life.
The confident lady said that although she faces discrimination from both sexes, she is an asset.
Chiwetalu Charity said that the man who found her already has a wife.
