The Sokoto State University (SSU) has released the approved academic calendar for the 2024/2025 undergraduate session.

First Semester – 2024/2025 Session

• Registration for New Students
  • Duration: 3 weeks
  • Dates: Monday, 4th November to Saturday, 23rd November 2024
• Registration for Returning Students
  • Duration: 2 weeks
  • Dates: Monday, 25th November to Saturday, 7th December 2024
• First Semester Lectures Begin
  • Duration: 7 weeks
  • Dates: Monday, 9th December 2024 to Saturday, 1st February 2025
• Orientation for New Students
  • Duration: 1 day
  • Date: Wednesday, 15th January 2025
• Matriculation for New Students
  • Duration: 1 day
  • Date: Wednesday, 22nd January 2025
• Mid-Semester Break
  • Duration: 1 week
  • Dates: Monday, 23rd December to Sunday, 29th December 2024
• Continuation of First Semester Lectures
  • Duration: 6 weeks
  • Dates: Monday, 3rd February to Saturday, 15th March 2025
• First Semester Examinations
  • Duration: 3 weeks
  • Dates: Monday, 17th March to Saturday, 5th April 2025
• First Semester Break and Result Processing
  • Duration: 3 weeks
  • Dates: Monday, 7th April to Sunday, 27th April 2025

Second Semester – 2024/2025 Session

• Second Semester Lectures Begin
  • Duration: 7 weeks
  • Dates: Monday, 28th April to Saturday, 14th June 2025
• Mid-Semester Break
  • Duration: 1 week
  • Dates: Monday, 16th June to Sunday, 22nd June 2025
• Continuation of Second Semester Lectures
  • Duration: 6 weeks
  • Dates: Monday, 23rd June to Saturday, 2nd August 2025
• Second Semester Examinations
  • Duration: 3 weeks
  • Dates: Monday, 4th August to Saturday, 23rd August 2025
• Second Semester Break and Result Processing
  • Duration: 4 weeks
  • Dates: Monday, 25th August to Sunday, 21st September 2025
• New Session Begins
  • Date: Monday, 22nd September 2025
