The Senate Decision on Amnesty for Overstayed Students.

At its 238th Meeting held on Friday, 3rd October 2025, at the Zephaniah Mmadubuko Auditorium, the Senate considered the proposal on the above subject matter and approved the following:
- The amnesty window shall allow overstayed students (Regular, CEP, and Sandwich) to register their outstanding courses, with a maximum of 72 credit hours spread over four (4) semesters and a maximum of 24 credit hours per semester.
- No overstayed student shall score more than a grade “C” in the examinations.
- Outstanding fees for overstayed students shall be worked out administratively.
- Special consideration shall be given to overstayed students through a refresher course to prepare them before examinations.
- The amnesty shall commence from the 2025/2026 to 2026/2027 academic sessions.
