Sequel to the earlier decision by University Management for the resumption of 100, 200 and 400 level students (including IJMB and JUPEB) on Saturday, 29th May, 2021; the Committee deliberated and re-assessed the security situation in the FCT, with particular reference to Bwari, Area Council.


The Committee noted reports of a kidnap incidence around Kuchiko axis of Bwari as well as the leaked circular of the IGP warning of possible threats in Plateau and Abuja and agreed that the present security situation was worrisome. The Committee, therefore, decided as follows:
Resumption for100, 200 and 400 level students) from the extended mid-semester break should be suspended until further notice. By this, the decision to resume on Saturday, 29th May, 2021 is hereby reversed.
