Gombe State University (GSU) Resumption Date For 2024/2025 has been announced.


This is to inform all students of the Gombe State University (GOMSU) at a special meeting held on Monday, 28th October, 2024, the Senate considered and approved the immediate resumption af academic activities in the University and the commencement of lectures effective from Monday, 4th November, 2024.
The Senate also approved a revised 2nd Semester, 2023/2024 academic calendar for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students as follows:
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS:
- Monday, 28th October, 2024 – Sunday, 21st December, 2024: Resumption/Lectures
- Monday, 22nd December, 2024 – Saturday, 4th January, 2025: 2 weeks Mid-semester break
- Monday, 6th January, 2024 – Saturday, 1st February, 2025: 4 weeks of Lectures
- Monday, 3rd February, 2025 – Saturday, 2nd February, 2025: 3 weeks of Examinations
POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS:
- Monday, 28th October, 2024 – Saturday, 16th November, 2024: 3 weeks of Lectures
- Monday, 18th November, 2024 – Saturday, 30th November, 2024: 2 weeks of Exams
- Monday, 2nd December, 2024 – Saturday, 21st December, 2024: 3 weeks of Marking.
The Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the Senate, welcomes the students back on campus and wishes them a hitch-free semester
