The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Offiong Efanga Offiong has appointed Dr. Maureen Okon of the department of Educational Psychology as the Institution’s Sandwich Coordinator, and Dr. Robert Augustine Igwe as Head of Department of Economics and Political Science Education respectively.


In separate letters of appointment signed by the Vice Chancellor, the appointment of the Sandwich Coordinator is for a period of two(2) years, at the first instance, with effect from July 17th, 2026, while that of the Head of Department of Economics and Political Science Education is effective from 16th July, 2026 to 15th July,2028 .
By the appointments, the appointees are expected to bring their wealth of experiences and knowledge to bear for maximum results in their new offices.
This is even as they are expected to key into the vision and mission of the current administration, ensuring that the values and expectations of the University are upheld at all times.
The letters reiterate Management’s zero tolerance to unethical practices, adding that, the Vice-Chancellor will not hesitate to sanction anyone who fails to comply with extant university regulations.
