ATBU debunks purported mandatory drug test circular.


The attention of the Management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, has been drawn to a circular currently circulating on various social media platforms titled:
“STUDENTS’ DRUG INTEGRITY TESTING WITH NDLEA (MANDATORY COMPLIANCE REQUIRED)”
The University wishcs to categorically state that the said circular did not originate from the Office of the Registrar or any authorized organ of the University. Consequently, the University distances itself from the contents ofthe circular and advises students and members ofthe public to disregard it.
Students are hereby encouraged to remain calm and continue with their academic activities as usual. The University Management has not introduced any requirement making a drug integrity test a condition for accessing or viewing semester examination results.
Accordingly, students will be able to access their examination results through the normal procedures approved by the University.
The University remains committed to providing timely and accurate information through its official communication channels and urges students to verify any information before acting on it.
