BUK Bans Unauthorized Use of Its Name and Official Logo on Social Media

Bayero University has Ban Unauthorized Use of its Name and Official Logo on Social Media.

The Management of Bayero University, Kano has observed with grave concern the indiscriminate and unauthorized use of the University’s name and official logo by individuals and groups on various social media platforms.

These actions are intended to mislead, deceive, and exploit students, prospective applicants, and members of the general public.

In order to protect the integrity, reputation, and corporate identity of Bayero University, Kano, Management hereby prohibits the use of the University’s name, official logo, or any form of institutional identity on any social media platform without prior written approval from the appropriate University authority.

Students, applicants, and members of the general public are strongly advised to rely solely on the University’s official website and duly verified social media platforms for accurate and authentic information.

Accordingly, all individuals, groups, or associations currently using the University’s name and or official logo on their social media profiles, pages, or platforms without authorization are hereby directed to remove such representations immediately.

For the avoidance of doubt, students and other users are free to operate personal social media accounts using their real names or preferred identities. However, the use of “Bayero University, Kano,” “BUK,” or the University’s official logo in any manner that implies official affiliation or representation is strictly prohibited.

Any individual found to be in violation of this directive shall be dealt with in accordance with applicable laws and relevant University regulations.
