FCE Zaria Provost Appoints Dr. Musa Bello as the new HOD of Physics Department

Federal College of Education, FCE Zaria Provost, Dr Sulaiman Balarabe has appointed Dr. Musa Bello as the new Head of the Physics Department

I write on the authority of the Provost, Dr. Sulaiman Balarabe to appoint you (Dr. Musa Bello) as the Head of Department, Physics in the School of Sciences

The appointment is as a result of your academic and leadership qualities exhibited in your service to College and the Nigerian Educational System, especially Teacher Education, which provides you with experience worthy of emulation which this administration recognizes and wishes to make good use of. It is believed that your outstanding qualities will be brought to bear in the control of the affairs of the department, where both teaching and non-teaching members of staff are brought together in synergy to bring about progress and development in teaching, research and learning. You are expected to lead the department to key into the current teacher education programme going on.

You are responsible to the Provost through the Deputy Provost and the Dean of your School for the running of the affairs of the department in line with acceptable administrative, academic procedures as well as provided for in the Revised Conditions and Schemes of Service (2015) and other extant rules and regulations.

Your appointment is also in line with the provisions of the Curriculum Implementation Framework for NCE (NCCE Guidelines, 2012:2:286) and your schedules of duties are as explained in the documents us Assistant Chief Examination Officer of your department, where the Dean of the School is the Chief Examination Officer. You are advised to make consultations on matters that are not clear to you.

By this appointment, you are a member of the Academic Board and the Board as provided for in the Act establishing the College (2023) The appointment is for a period of two (2) years with effect from 10th October, 2023.

You have the full support and assurances of MANAGEMENT of the College as you discharge your duties in accordance with the acceptable and approved rules and regulations, as well as other guidelines. However, you should note that you could be replaced, if it is found that you cannot perform as expected.
