IBBUL Works with State Govt to Secure Full MDCN Approval for College of Health Sciences

IBBUL Management has been working closely with Niger State to Achieve Full MDCN Accreditation for Health Sciences Programme.

The Management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBUL) reassures students, parents, and the general public that it is fully on top of issues surrounding the full accreditation of College of Health Sciences and is working closely with the State Government towards meeting all regulatory requirements by Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) within the stipulated time.

The University describes recent concerns circulating in some quarters as understandable and assures stakeholders that strategic steps are already in motion to address the identified gaps.

The University Management has been engaging constructively with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and other relevant regulatory authorities to ensure full compliance with accreditation standards.

It is on record that the State Government had earlier set up a tripartite Committee to include the University , Ministries of Health and Tertiary Education to come up with a way forward on the requirements expected by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) for which the report is already strategically being implemented.

The Management is not resting on its oars as engagements with the Niger State Government and relevant stakeholders are ongoing to ensure timely release of resources and accelerated project execution.

While acknowledging the anxiety of students, particularly the pioneer 400-level, the University Management assures them that their academic progression and professional future remain a top priority.

Students, parents and guardians are therefore advised to remain calm and avoid unnecessary panic or speculation that could create avoidable tension.

Similarly, stakeholders are requested to continue to support the University with patience and confidence as the Management is committed to protecting the academic integrity of the programme and the future of students.

The University reiterated its commitment to transparency and pledged to provide periodic updates as progress continues.

IBBUL reaffirms that the development of the College of Health Sciences remains a flagship project and a strategic investment in the future of healthcare delivery in Niger State and Nigeria at large.
