Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano Commencement Of First Academic Lecture 

The first set of Students who were admitted into Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano had their first lecture today.

The Dean Faculty of Science and Computing, Professor Ibrahim Tajo Siraj while welcoming the students stated that, the Management gathered to mark the first lecture of the University. He said ideally this would have been just a lecture not a ceremony, but because it is a very important day for the University and a memorable and historical day for the Proprietors because they have been looking forward to see this particular day.

Prof. Ibrahim expressed happiness while welcoming the Staff and Students. He added by saying the students should be very proud to be the pioneer students of KHAIRUN.

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdulrashid Garba in his speech stated that KHAIRUN has admitted 49 Students, out of the 49 Students 15  are male while the 34 are female. He further stated that whatever course the students are studying, there are two compulsory non credit courses which are the recitation and memorisation of the Holy Qur’an and introduction to moral lessons.

Prof. Abdulrashid Garba prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the Founder and grant him Jannatul firdaus. He also prayed for the Proprietors of KHAIRUN. 

The Vice-Chancellor thanked the Board of Trustees and his appreciation to the Governing Council for making the beginning of this wonderful journey a success.
