Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, is fully prepared to commence onsite resumption for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session. The University Management has put in place all necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and productive start for both new and returning students.
According to a statement released by the University Management, online registration and payment of fees opened on Sunday, October 12, 2025, while onsite resumption and commencement of lectures have been scheduled for Monday, October 20, 2025. Students are expected to return to campus and complete their registration promptly, as lectures will begin immediately after registration. The University also noted that late registration will attract penalties in line with its academic regulations.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche, warmly welcomed all students to the new academic session, expressing confidence in the University’s readiness for a hitch-free semester. She commended the dedication of staff and urged students to resume on schedule, emphasizing that late resumption will not be entertained.
Professor Tenuche further assured students of a conducive environment for learning, noting that the University has maintained its commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and moral uprightness. She called on students to take advantage of the available facilities and maintain decorum in line with the University’s rules and regulations.
Meanwhile, the admission process for new intakes is ongoing. The Admission Office confirmed that candidates who applied through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and selected PAAU as their preferred institution are currently being screened. Successful candidates are advised to check their admission status via the University’s official website and proceed with acceptance and registration procedures.
The University also reiterated its commitment to providing a wide range of academic programs across its Faculties, ensuring that students receive quality education that blends intellectual excellence with moral integrity.
As the new academic session begins, the University community looks forward to a successful and rewarding year marked by effective teaching, innovative learning, and positive student engagement.
Key Dates for the First Semester, 2025/2026 Academic Session
- Sunday, 12th October 2025: Online platform opens for payment of fees and course registration.
- Monday, 20th October 2025: Onsite resumption and commencement of lectures for all students.
- Monday, 27th October 2025: Late course registration (with penalty).
- Monday, 3rd November 2025: Submission of student files to appropriate offices (newly admitted students).
- Monday, 17th – Friday, 21st November 2025: First Continuous Assessment.
- Monday, 15th – Friday, 19th December 2025: Second Continuous Assessment.
- Tuesday, 23rd December 2025: Commencement of Christmas, Boxing, and New Year break.
- Saturday, 17th January 2026: End of lectures in all faculties.
- Monday, 19th January – Friday, 14th February 2026: First Semester Examinations.
