When will KUST resume school:Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST) Resumption Date for 2025/2026 Academic Session.

The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, has officially welcomed both new and returning students to the 2025/2026 Academic Session, with the announcement of resumption details and a reminder of key campus regulations.

In a circular issued by the Student Affairs Division and signed by the Dean, Student Affairs, Prof. Abdulkadir Muhammad Dambazau, the University informed students that all halls of residence will open on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at exactly 8:00 a.m.

The Dean stated that the University’s priority for the new academic session is to maintain a safe, clean, and disciplined environment conducive to learning, stressing that all existing regulations remain in force and violations will attract strict penalties.

Hygiene and Environmental Sanitation

Students were reminded that open defecation is strictly prohibited, and the use of designated restroom facilities is mandatory. Littering is also not tolerated, as students are expected to dispose of waste properly in provided bins to promote a healthy environment.

Additionally, the act of splitting or splashing water in hallways, balconies, or common areas is banned due to safety risks and potential damage to hostel facilities.

Electrical Appliances and Fire Safety

To prevent fire outbreaks and electrical overloads, the University has banned the use of heavy-duty electrical appliances such as hot plates, electric cookers, immersion heaters, and refrigerators in hostels.

Cooking is only allowed in designated kitchenette areas using approved methods, including properly stored gas cylinders where applicable.

Security and Personal Property

While acknowledging students’ reliance on technology, the University advised against the ostentatious display of expensive phones or jewelry, noting that it will not be liable for the loss of high-value items kept in common areas.

For security purposes, students are required to carry their University ID cards at all times and present them when requested by security personnel.

Code of Conduct and Residency

The circular strongly warned against squatting, described as harboring unregistered occupants in hostels. Both the registered occupant and the squatter will face disciplinary action, including possible loss of accommodation.

Students are also expected to observe curfew and quiet hours, with hostel residents required to be within the premises by 10:00 p.m., while off-campus residents are expected to return by 12:00 midnight. Noise levels must be kept minimal to respect others’ right to study and rest.

Furthermore, students were reminded to adhere strictly to the University’s approved dress code at all times on campus.

Management’s Assurance

Prof. Dambazau emphasized that while the University Management is committed to students’ welfare, comfort, and academic success, full cooperation is required to keep facilities functional and the campus orderly.

He warned that failure to comply with the outlined regulations will result in the immediate forfeiture of hostel bed spaces and may attract further disciplinary measures.

The circular was copied to the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Academic and Administrative), Registrar, Director of Security, Hall Administrators, President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), and Presidents of all Associations.
