Kwara College of Arabic & Islamic Legal Studies Admission into 6 Newly Approved Programmes

This is to inform the general public that the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has given approval to Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, Ilorin, to commence admission into the following programmes:

• National Diploma (ND) in Law
• National Diploma (ND) in Common and Islamic Law
• National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science
• National Diploma (ND) in Accountancy
• National Diploma (ND) in Library Science
• National Diploma (ND) in Mass Communication

for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Interested candidates who have obtained the UTME form and meet all the requirements are advised to change their institutions on the JAMB website and make Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, Ilorin (CAILS), their first choice of institution to ensure easy admission to any of the courses.

Parents, guardians, and candidates are to make use of the opportunity to secure their admission without hindrance as NBTE has certified all the teaching and learning facilities of the College for the programmes accordingly.

A. Centre for Degree and Professional Programmes (CDPP)

• Professional Diploma in Education (PDE)
• Advanced Diploma in Legal Studies (ADLS)
• Imamship Programme

B. School of Arts and Islamic Studies
(Two (2) years Programmes)

• Diploma in English and History
• Diploma in English and Islamic Studies
• Diploma in Islamic Studies and Yoruba

C. School of Languages
(Two (2) years Programmes)

• Diploma in Arabic and Islamic Studies (Arabic Medium)
• Diploma in Arabic and Islamic Studies (English Medium)
• Diploma in Arabic and English

D. School of Education
(Three (3) years Programmes – equivalent to NCE)

• Diploma in Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Education
• Diploma in Islamic Studies, English, and Education
• Diploma in Islamic Studies, Yoruba, and Education

All programmes lead to the admission of successful candidates into Higher National Diploma and 200-level degree programmes of any universities in Nigeria and abroad.

Admission Requirements for Programmes (B-D) Above

1. WAEC/GCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB with credit/merit in at least four (teaching) subjects, including the relevant ones to the proposed course of study.
2. Thanawiyyah/Tawjihyyah certificate of an Arabic Senior Secondary School recognized by or affiliated with Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, Ilorin.
3. Certificate in Arabic and Islamic Studies from any tertiary institution recognized by the College.
4. Any other qualifications acceptable by the College as equivalent to any of the above.
5. Senior Arabic and Islamic Secondary School Certificate Examination (SAISSCE) recognized by the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS).
