KWASU Appoints Professor Olawale Moshood Aliyu as Dean of School of Postgraduate Studies.

A Professor of Genetics & Plant Breeding in the  Department of Crop Production, Professor Aliyu attained full professorial status in 2016 and was until this appointment, the Director Research and Development.

A former Head of Department and Provost of the College of Agriculture, Professor Aliyu comes prepared for the task of heading the School of Postgraduate Studies.

Before joining the services of Kwara State University fully in 2012, he had dedicated 2 years to the institution _pro bono_ as an adjunct senior lecturer.

He was also a research scientist with the Apomixis Research Group, in the Department of Cytogenetics and Genome Analysis, 

Institute for Plant Genetics and Cultivated Crop Plant Research (IPK),  Germany between 2010 and 2012.

He was a one-time technical adviser with the National Cashew Association of Nigeria, Head, Crop Improvement Division,

Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria, Ibadan, and a leader with the Cashew Research Programme of the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria, Ibadan, Nigeria.

He takes over from Professor Moshood Mahmood Jimba, who was appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration.
