The Lagos State University has emerged the second most subscribed university in Nigeria.

This is based on the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination Application Statistics by Institutions released by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board on Wednesday, 17th July 2024.
According to the figures released by JAMB, 62, 601 candidates chose LASU as first choice institution to place the university second just behind the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State, with 64,143 candidates.
LASU’s latest position is an improvement on the 2023 statistics where the university was ranked third with over 55,000 applicants. It is imperative to note that prior to the year 2023, LASU had never featured in the list of the top 10 most subscribed universities in Nigeria.
