Ominira Initiative for Economic Advancement, in collaboration with the Initiative for African Trade and Prosperity (IATP), is pleased to announce its inaugural undergraduate essay writing competition.
The competition aims to foster a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship and democracy among young Nigerians, empowering them to become agents of positive change.
Topic: “Entrepreneurship and Democracy as Catalysts for a Prosperous Nigeria”

Ominira Initiative Undergraduate Essay Writing Competition Eligibility:
The competition is open to undergraduate students enrolled in any Nigerian higher institution who are not older than 30 years.
Prizes:
- 1st position: N120,000
- 2nd position: N100,000
- 3rd position: N80,000
- Consolation prizes for 4th and 5th positions
Submission Guidelines:
- Essays must be submitted through the designated Google form.
- The maximum word count is 800 words.
- Submissions must be in PDF format, using New Times Roman font (size 12), double line spacing, and justified alignment.
- AI-generated content and plagiarism are strictly prohibited.
- Entries must be original and not previously published online or in print.
- Multiple entries will result in disqualification.
CLOSING DATE:
July 5, 2024, at 11:00 PM (WAT)
By participating in this competition, students can showcase their writing skills, gain recognition, and contribute to the discourse on entrepreneurship and democracy in Nigeria.
