The competition aims to foster a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship and democracy among young Nigerians, empowering them to become agents of positive change.

Ominira Initiative Undergraduate Essay Writing Competition Eligibility:

The competition is open to undergraduate students enrolled in any Nigerian higher institution who are not older than 30 years.


  • 1st position: N120,000
  • 2nd position: N100,000
  • 3rd position: N80,000
  • Consolation prizes for 4th and 5th positions

Submission Guidelines:

  • Essays must be submitted through the designated Google form.
  • The maximum word count is 800 words.
  • Submissions must be in PDF format, using New Times Roman font (size 12), double line spacing, and justified alignment.
  • AI-generated content and plagiarism are strictly prohibited.
  • Entries must be original and not previously published online or in print.
  • Multiple entries will result in disqualification.
