The Senate of the University has approved the commencement of 4 new Faculties as follows:

- Faculty of Environmental Sciences
- Faculty of Law
- Faculty of Education

A. Departments under the Faculty of Health Sciences includes:
- Department of Nursing Services
- Department of Medical Laboratory Science
- Department of Community
B. Departments under the Faculty of Environmental Sciences include:
- Department of Architecture
- Department of Building
- Department of Geography
C. Departments under the Faculty of Education includes:
- Department of Science Education (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)
- Department of Education Foundation
- Department of Library and Information Science
D. Faculty of Law is a Mono Faculty
