Rivers State University RSUST Announces Christmas Break.


The Management of Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has announced the schedule for the 2025 Christmas Break for staff and students of the institution.
According to an internal memorandum issued by the Office of the Registrar, the University will vacate for the Christmas Break on Saturday, 20th December, 2025, and academic and administrative activities will resume on Saturday, 3rd January, 2026.
The circular further stated that all university offices will remain closed throughout the break period. However, staff providing essential services are expected to remain on duty. These include:
- Drivers to Principal Officers
- Staff of the Security Unit
- Estate and Works staff responsible for utilities such as water and electricity
- Porters in the Halls of Residence
- Staff of the Health Services Department at the Emergency Unit
Normal work across the University will fully resume on Monday, 5th January, 2026.
The Vice-Chancellor, through the Acting Registrar, extended warm wishes to all staff and students for a blissful Christmas celebration and a prosperous New Year.
