1,300 NYSC Members Complete Orientation in Bauchi, Deployed to 20 LGAs

1,300 NYSC members of the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II completed their orientation in Bauchi State and were deployed to 20 local government areas, with officials commending infrastructural upgrades and urging the corps members to contribute positively to their host communities.

A total of 1,300 members of the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), who were posted to Bauchi State, have successfully completed their three-week orientation programme and have been deployed to their various Places of Primary Assignment across the state’s 20 local government areas.

During the official closing ceremony at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa LGA, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Umoren Kufre, commended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for significant infrastructural upgrades within the camp. These include renovations of the corps members’ hostels and officials’ blocks, as well as the construction of a new multipurpose hall.

Kufre described the improvements as a testament to the governor’s commitment to youth development, stating, “This kind gesture will remain fresh in our minds. Thank you, Your Excellency.”

He also appreciated the state government for providing a secure and enabling environment that ensured the successful completion of the orientation exercise. Furthermore, he acknowledged the support from collaborating agencies and the local Wailo community, which played a key role in assisting with camp logistics and casual labor.

The coordinator praised the corps members for their discipline, loyalty, and conduct throughout the orientation period. He encouraged them to integrate well into their host communities, respect local customs, and contribute meaningfully to community development.

“The people of Bauchi State are known for their hospitality,” Kufre said, citing the transportation support provided by local government councils. “I urge you to reciprocate this generosity by making positive impacts in your respective communities.”
