Maritime Academy Oron HND Admission Form for the 2022/2023 Academic Session. The closing date is 2nd September 2022. The form cost N20,000.


This is to inform the public, especially candidates who are interested in the Maritime Academy Higher National Diploma (HND) that the Admission Form for the 2022/2023 Academic Session will be on sale from the 11th of July 2022.
Online registration will commence on Monday, 11th July 2022, and will now end on Friday, 2nd September 2022.

Maritime Academy HND Courses and Duration
The duration of Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes is two (2) years, divided into four (4) semesters. The following programmes are on offer:
- Nautical Science
- Marine Engineering
- Maritime Transport and Business Management
MAN) HND Admission Requirements.
Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must have a functional and accessible electronic mail address (E-mail) and mobile phone number.
Nautical Science
- Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include.
– Mathematics
– English Language,
– Physics
– Geography,
– and any other related Science subjects obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS. - Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Nautical Science with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Also, candidates must have JAMB Registration number.
- Applicants Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of one-year cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.
- Candidates with PASS at National Diploma level from Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution must have completed a minimum of two years Post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of two years cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.
Marine Engineering
- Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include
– Mathematics
– English Language,
– Physics,
– Chemistry,
– and any other related Science subjects obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS - Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Marine Engineering with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Also, candidates must have JAMB Registration number.
- Applicants Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of one-year cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.
- Candidates with PASS at National Diploma level from Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution must have completed a minimum of two years Post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of two years cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.
Maritime Transport and Business Management
- Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include:
– Mathematics,
– English Language,
– Economics,
– and any two of Commerce, Government, Financial Accounting and Business Management obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS. - Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Maritime Transport and Business Studies with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Also, candidates must have JAMB Registration number
- Applicants Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or acquired a minimum of one-year cognate work experience in a relevant organization.
- Applicants with PASS at National Diploma level from Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution must have completed a minimum of two years post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or acquired a minimum of two years cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.
ACADEMY TRANSCRIPT
Academic Transcript of Applicants from other accredited institution must reach the Academic Registrar on or before the Closure of application portal and a copy to [email protected].
How to Apply for MAN HND Admission.
Eligible candidates should log on to the Academy website www.maritimeacademy.gov.ng and take the following steps:
Step 1:
- Click on Admission – HND/ND Registration Portal
- Create an Account
- Login using your Account Credentials
- Generate RRR
- Select the Mode of Payment of your Choice
- Proceed to the banks of your choice to make payment Via Remita Payment Platform or pay online
- Return to the Academy Portal to complete your Registration.
Step 2: Candidate must download Applicant Medical Examination Form (Form M) from the application portal. This form must be duly completed and signed before upload on the portal.
Step 3. Candidate are expected to undergo the following medical test at any Government Hospital and upload medical result on the application portal.
- PCV
- VDRL
- HBV
- HIV1/2
- FASTING BLOOD SUGAR (FBS)
- PT (Pregnancy Test for Females)
- URINALYSIS
- GENOTYPE
- BLOOD GROUP
The medical test must be carried out between 11th July 2022 and 12th August 2022. Note: The uploaded test result will be subject to further confirmation when invited for Screening.

ADVISORY:
- All intending cadets who are financially indebted to the Academy are required to offset the debt before applying.
- Candidates with incomplete registration will be automatically disqualified
- Only Candidate who meets the Minimum requirement as stated above will be invited for screening.
- The Academy has zero tolerance for drug abuse, bullying or any social violence. Applicants found wanting shall lose his/her cadetship.
