NUC Grants Full Accreditation to Six Undergraduate Programmes of FCE Zaria

The Federal College of Education, Zaria has been granted “Full” accreditation of six (6) courses for its affiliation programme with Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in the outcome of the October/November 2023 Accreditation of Academic Programmes in Nigerian Universities.

The accreditation exercise, which held on 12th December, 2023 which is a statutory mandate of the NUC to accredit all established programmes, and to also ensure quality standards in Nigerian institutions.

The results of the accreditation were communicated by National Universities Commission (NUC), via a letter dated 6th June, 2024, addressing the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

The six (6) successfully accredited programmes are;

• Education Islamic Studies (Full)
• Education Christian Religion Studies (Full)
• Education Geography (Full)
• Education Biology (Full)
• Education Integrated Science (Full) and,
• Education Mathematics (Full)

All accredited programmes with Full status are valid for five (5) years, the highest status awarded by the commission. This achievement demonstrates the College’s commitment to academic excellence and quality education.
