Summit University Offa Declares Campus Safe, Dismisses Viral Bandit Attack Report as Malicious Fake News.


The Management of Summit University, Offa, Kwara State, Nigeria, wishes to categorically debunk and
strongly refute the false information currently circulating on social media alleging that there was a bandit attack on the University, resulting in loss of lives and abductions.
This information is entirely fake, malicious, and a deliberate attempt to cause panic, confusion, and misinformation among the public, parents, and stakeholders. We wish to assure all concerned that Summit University, Offa is safe, secure, and fully operational. There has been no security breach of any kind, and all students, staff, and members of the University community are going about their normal activities without any disruption.
Academic activities for the Second Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Session are ongoing smoothly,
in line with the approved academic calendar. The University continues to make remarkable progress in its pursuit of academic excellence and the moral upbringing of its students, maintaining a peaceful and conducive learning environment.
Furthermore, the University is advancing its academic offerings with the introduction of new programmes
under the Lateefat Gbajabiamila College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, with enrolment scheduled to commence in the 2026/2027 Academic Session subject to the approval of the National Universities Commission (NUC).
