Osun government upgrades Ilesa college of education to a university.


The Osun State government has approved the upgrade of the Osun State College of Education in Ilesa, to a university.
The state governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, disclosed this while inaugurating the Ijesaland Geriatric Centre, Ilesa, on Thursday.

According to the governor, the upgrade became necessary following a request made by prominent sons and daughters of Ijesa land, and Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesa land, Oba Gabriel Aromolaran.
He added that the government has also engaged one of the nation’s best corporate consultants, KPMG, to work out the sustainability plan for the upgrade
