ChrisLand University has Appointed New Vice Chancellor


Chrisland University is pleased to announce the assumption of duty of Professor Oyedunni Sola Arulogun as the new Vice-Chancellor, following a formal handover ceremony held on November 1, 2024. This significant event took place in the presence of the University’s Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, High Chief Dr. Winifred Awosika, OON, at the university campus.
During the ceremony, the Chancellor expressed her joy and gratitude to God for the opportunity to witness this historic occasion. She commended the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola, for her exemplary leadership and dedication throughout her tenure and congratulated Professor Arulogun on her appointment.
Professor Babalola conveyed her sincere appreciation to the Chancellor for her unwavering support during her seven-year tenue as the Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University. She pledged her continued assistance to Professor Arulogun’s administration, assuring that she remains readily available for guidance.
In her response, Professor Oyedunni Sola Arulogun expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her and reaffirmed her commitment to continue the progressive initiatives established by her predecessor.
Professor Olatunde Farombi, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, who also graced the occasion, pledged his support for the new administration, emphasizing the collective goal of maintaining the university’s trajectory of excellence.
Professor Arulogun brings a wealth of experience to her new role, holding a Ph.D. in Health Education and possessing extensive expertise in public health and education. Her distinguished career includes pivotal roles such as Acting Dean at the University of Ibadan, Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Secretary-General of the Ibadan College of Medicine Alumni Association.
As she assumes leadership, Professor Arulogun is poised to guide Chrisland University into a continued era of academic excellence and innovation, continuing the legacy of her predecessor, Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola.
The University Chaplain, Reverend Juwon Onasanya, offered prayers for both the outgoing and incoming Vice-Chancellors, invoking divine wisdom upon Professor Arulogun as she takes on her new responsibilities.
He also committed Professor Babalola to God Almighty as she moves on to greater heights in life.
It is noteworthy that the Governing Council of Chrisland University, led by Distinguished Professor Ayodeji Olukoju, FNAL, announced Professor Arulogun’s appointment on October 31, 2024, following the completion of Professor Babalola’s seven-year meritorious service.
