Federal University of Education Pankshin Appoints New Vice Chancellor and Registrar.


The Governing Council of the Federal University of Education Pankshin has announced two key appointments aimed at strengthening the Institution’s leadership and administrative framework.
At its emergency meeting held on Thursday, 18th December 2025, the Council approved the appointment of Professor Noel Nen’man Wannang as the Vice Chancellor of the University for a non-renewable five-year tenure, effective 13th February 2026.
Professor Wannang, currently of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, University of Jos, Plateau State, brings a wealth of academic and administrative experience to the role.
He has held several positions nationally and internationally, including Member of the 15th Governing Council, University of Jos, Secretary General of West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists, Chairman Plateau State Research Committee on COVID-19 and other Infectious Diseases as well as Head of Department (HOD) at different levels.
He is a distinguished scholar and seasoned administrator with vast professional/ Administrative experience especially in the Teaching Profession and winner of Research Grants. He is a Member of 14 Professional Bodies including the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
As Vice Chancellor, he will serve as the Chief Executive and Chairman of the University Management Committee, the Senate and Congregation.
Separately, at its meeting on Tuesday, 16th December 2025, the Council appointed Mr. Longtong Godwill Yadok as the substantive Registrar of the University, also for a non-renewable five-year term, effective Wednesday 17th December 2025.
He also held several positions in the University including: Member, Governing Council Federal University of Education Pankshin representing Congregation, Deputy Registrar – Establishment, Deputy Registrar – Examination and Records, Secretary Academic Board Committee on Exams and Results as well as Chairman of SSUCOEN, FCE Pankshin Chapter among others.
He has attended relevant Conferences/ workshops, received many Distinguished Awards, Honors and engaged in numerous community service. He is member of several Professional bodies including the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
Mr. Yadok will serve as Secretary to the Governing Council, Senate, Congregation, and Convocation, and will be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the Institution.
Both appointments are made in accordance with the Federal University of Education Pankshin Act, 2021, and are subject to the University’s Governing Rules and Regulations and general conditions of service.
The Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Hon. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko, PhD, signed the appointments, which are expected to further enhance the University’s mission to provide quality education and contribute to national development.
On his part, Acting Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Education Pankshin Prof. Jere Ndazhaga has extended his congratulations to the new Vice Chancellor and Registrar while wishing them a successful and fruitful tenure in Office.
