Iconic University Senate has Approved the Expansion of Mass Communication Program with Specialized Degrees


Iconic University is pleased to announce the expansion of its Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mass Communication program. Following the recommendation of the Curriculum Development Committee and approval by the University Senate, three distinct specializations are now available for prospective students.
This expansion aligns with the National Universities Commission (NUC) Curriculum Standards for Mass Communication (CCMAS) and offers students a more focused educational experience within the ever-evolving field of mass communication.
Specialized Learning Paths
The newly established specializations offer students the opportunity to delve deeper into specific areas of mass communication:
- B.Sc. Mass Communication (Radio/TV Journalism & Broadcasting) equips students with the skills necessary to excel in the dynamic world of radio and television broadcasting, including reporting, production, and anchoring.
- B.Sc. Mass Communication (Print and New/Digital Media Studies) prepares students for careers in print and digital media, focusing on content creation, editing, and distribution across various platforms.
- B.Sc. Mass Communication (Public Relations & Advertisement) provides students with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in the public relations and advertising industry, encompassing strategic communication, branding, and campaign management.
