Nile University Awards Scholarships to Outstanding Graduates at the Convocation Ceremony

Nile University has Celebrated 12th Convocation Ceremony, Honors Outstanding Graduates and Distinguished Nigerians.

Nile University of Nigeria recently held its 12th Convocation Ceremony, celebrating the graduation of its brilliant students and honoring their outstanding achievements.

The ceremony, which took place on 28th November 2024, saw the graduation of students, who were equipped with the skills, knowledge, and determination to reshape the future.

The top 5 overall best graduates were awarded special recognition for their exceptional academic performance. David Adeshina Arungbemi (Computer Engineering), Chinomso Samuel Akuma (Electrical and Electronics Engineering), and Hassan Haruna Kabaju (Petroleum and Gas Engineering) achieved a perfect 5.0 CGPA, while Vahyalajah Eunice Kwaji (Petroleum and Gas Engineering) and Attahiru Nasiru Yakubu (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) emerged as first and second runners-up with 4.99 and 4.98 CGPAs, respectively.

In addition to honoring its outstanding graduates, Nile University also awarded honorary degrees to three distinguished Nigerians: Senator George Akume, Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano, and Sir Dr. Emeka Chuka Orakwe Wilson Offor. These honorary degrees recognized their outstanding contributions to nation-building and social progress.

As part of the ceremony, five outstanding graduates received 100% scholarships to pursue their postgraduate studies at Nile University, courtesy of generous sponsors and partners including Zenith Bank Plc, Coronation Group, ACCA Africa, Media Seal, Stanbic IBTC, Providus Bank, Senator Osita Izunaso, Sydani Group, and Globacom Limited.

The convocation ceremony was attended by dignitaries, parents, and well-wishers, who praised Nile University for its commitment to academic excellence and nation-building.

As the Class of 2024 embarks on their journey, Nile University encourages them to step into the world with courage, purpose, and a heart full of dreams.
